The unarmed female Trump supporter who was shot and killed by Capitol Police was an Air Force veteran from California who tweeted a day earlier “nothing will stop us.”
Ashli Babbit had 14 years in the service and did four tours of duty. She was married and lived near San Diego.

The storming of the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday was the first time that the building had been breached since the War of 1812.
On August 24, 1814, the British invaded Washington, DC and torched the Capitol after a victory over American forces at Bladensburg, Maryland.
